At the heart of Ghana’s National Theatre, the FilmCraft Expo 2024 unfolded into a three-day powerhouse event—spotlighting cutting-edge technology, creative strategy, and the untold stories of Africa’s behind-the-scenes filmmaking heroes.
Under the theme:
“The Future of Cinematic and Theatre Technology: Impact and Prospects for Africa,”
industry professionals, tech innovators, students, and cultural leaders gathered to ignite conversations that will shape the next decade of African film.

From theatre arts specialists to virtual production engineers, the Expo’s masterclasses and panels offered thought-provoking insights into:
- The rising role of AI and virtual production
- Africa’s growing presence in global streaming markets
- How sound, lighting, and design technologies are transforming storytelling

- The push for intellectual property protection and filmmaker equity

In a symbolic highlight, Ambassador Prince Kojo-Hilton, Founder of FilmCraft Expo, led a strategic session with the National Commission on Culture — forging a partnership that will see FCE expand its global footprint with the Black Star Experience at the center.

On the exhibition floor:
